Patient Education is offered as a one on one counseling session to assist the patient in understanding the disease process, explanation of lab tests, medication compliance, and nutrition assistance. Each session is personalized for individual patient needs.
This allows the patient to become an active participant in the understanding and treatment of their kidney disease.

One on One
Patients are referred to specific chronic kidney disease classes. The patients' individual needs are assessed according to their diagnosis(es), medications, and level of kidney function.
These classes are geared toward meeting the needs of each patient. Medication issues, dietary issues, and disease processes are covered extensively to help the patient and the family understand the process of their diagnosis of kidney disease.
Handouts are explained to the patient and family for comprehensive understanding of their individual concerns. Knowledge is power!
This one on one appointment last about 45 minutes to one hour.
